How do I apply?
Step 1
Read the Guideline and Application, ensuring you are aware of the Applicant Requirements, outlined on pages 4-5.
Step 2
Complete the eligibility test (within the Application) to assess your eligibility for the Rebate.
Step 3
Replace your existing electric storage hot water system with a compliant solar hot water system or heat pump.
Step 4
Fully complete the rest of the Application. You will need to complete the red forms and if applying for the $1000 rebate, you will also need to complete the orange form.
- The seller of the system must complete the yellow form
- The plumber/gas fitter must complete the blue form
- The electrical contractor must complete the green form.
Some sections will be best filled out when you purchase the system and others on installation day. Make sure you have the most recent version of the Application or call 13 GET SOLAR (13 438 76527) to get a copy.
Step 5
Attach copies of the following documentation to your completed Application:
- receipts that show proof of payment for the system and installation
- if on a payment plan—a copy of the payment plan and proof of payments equalling the rebate being applied for
- depending on the rebate you have applied for, you may need to attach additional information.
